Buyers submit their requirements, which are then sent to a network of Know-Your-Business (KYB)-checked dealers. Dealers provide firm, blind quotes against these standardized requests, fostering competitive pricing and reducing information asymmetry.
The platform tracks the entire transaction lifecycle, from quote acceptance through payment, shipping, delivery, and inspection. Stoa does not take possession of the hardware but ensures a verified, traceable process for both parties.
The team leveraged their experience in trading interest rate derivatives and building pricing systems, spending time brokering deals themselves to understand the market's nuances. This hands-on approach informed their decision to build a platform that enhances, rather than replaces, the trust-based relationships crucial to hardware trading.
